Mr. and Mrs. Richard Craig Cherry of Mooreville are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Lauren Elizabeth, to Robert Russell Dendy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Ray Dendy of Houston, Miss.
Miss Cherry is the granddaughter of Mrs. Gwendolyn Gentry and the late Paul Gentry of Marietta, Miss., and Mrs. Janis Cherry and the late Bill Cherry of Saltillo.
Mr. Dendy is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Hugh Tabb, and the late Mrs. Lucille Dendy and Mr. Elkin Dendy, all of Houston.
The bride-elect is an honor graduate of Saltillo High School and a graduate of the University of Mississippi, where she received her bachelor’s degree in business administration. While at Ole Miss, she was an active member of Delta Gamma sorority and an Ole Miss Ambassador.
Miss Cherry is the recruiting and marketing coordinator at BKD, LLP CPAs & Advisors in Jackson.
The prospective groom is a graduate of Houston High School and a summa cum laude graduate of Mississippi State University where he received his bachelor’s degree in communications and master’s degree in sports administration.
The couple will exchange vows at 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 9, 2014 at First United Methodist Church in Tupelo. The Reception will follow at the Goodlett Manor in Tupelo.
