Airman 1st Class, Samantha L. Williams

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Airman 1st Class, Samantha L. Williams, graduated from basic military training, USAF training at Joint Base San Antonio – Lackland AFB, San Antonio, Texas, April 18, 2014.

The airmen completed an intensive, eight week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Samantha is the daughter of Lisa and Matt Stegall of Pontotoc and Chad Williams of Houlka. She is the granddaughter of Charley M. Edwards, Captain, USAF (ret.) and Barbara Edwards of Brandon; Mickey and Pam Denham of Houlka; Regeina and David Morgan of Glen Allen; Jody and Dennis Stegall of Pontotoc; great granddaughter of PFC Trubert D. Warren (US Army WWII & Korean War) of Houlka; sister of Brooke Stegall of Pontotoc, C. J. Williams and Autumn Williams of Glen Allen and Morgan Edwards of Vardaman.

She is a 2013 graduate of Pontotoc City High School in Pontotoc.

Samantha is currently training at Wright-Patterson AFB, Dayton, Ohio in Bio-Environmental Engineering. She is a member of the 172nd Airlift Wing Medical Group, Mississippi Air National Guard in Jackson. She will return to Pontotoc when finished with her training.

After completion of all military training, Samantha, will continue her education at Itawamba Community College in Tupelo, and attend her weekend drill activities at the 172nd Airlift Wing in Jackson.
