HOUSTON — Peggy Taylor Williams, 71, died at her home Wednesday, June 11, 2014. She was born April 9, 1943 in Calhoun County to Edward Lewis Taylor and Vannie Marene Stewart Taylor.
She was a former security guard for Dynamic before becoming disabled. She was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church in Calhoun County.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Friday, June 13 at Southern Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Glenn Washington officiating. Burial will be at Liberty Cemetery in Calhoun County.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Williams; her parents, Edward and Marene Taylor; and a grandson, Adam Williams.
She is survived by two sons, Richard Wayne Williams of Houston and Robert Edward Williams of Columbia; four grandchildren, Jonathan Lewis Williams (Laura) of Tremont, Teresa June Murillo of Houston, Robert “Robby” E. Williams, II of Dekalb and Bradley Keith Williams of Columbia; 13 great-grandchildren, Miranda, Gabriella, Dakota, Catherine, Olivia, Jaxon, Vivian, Rosa, Mark, Dora, Luis, Kameron and Grayson.
Visitation will be from noon to 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
