HOUSTON — Dorothy Guien “Cricket” Huffman King, 76, died Sunday, June 8, 2014, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo.
She was born June 6, 1938, in the Enon Community to Ralph Elzo Huffman and Elizabeth Sisk Huffman. She was retired from Dixieland Furniture and was a member of Enon Primitive Baptist Church.
Services are Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at 10 a.m., at Houston Funeral Home with Rev. Wade Mathis officiating. Burial will follow at Macedonia Cemetery in Houston. Houston Funeral Home of Houston, MS is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, Billy Herman King, Sr. of Houston; her sons, Billy H. King, Jr. and Sharon of Houlka, Terry King and Kathy of Pontotoc, Mike King and Carolyn of Houston; her grandson, whom she raised, William Henry Porter of Houston; her sister, Mary Alice Smith of Houston; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her loving nature.
Pallbearers are T. J. King, B. J. King, Tommy Criddle, Mathew Walters, Mitchell Gann, Jr., John Rogers Criddle, Brooks Criddle, Taylor Criddle, and Johnny Sansing.
Honorary pallbearers are Joe Myers, Ronnie Paden, Bently Porter, Henry Porter, Will Porter, Tim King, and Jim King.
Visitation was Monday, June 9, 2014. From 5:00 -7:00 PM at Houston Funeral Home.
