Whitlock live in the park today

National recording artist and Chickasaw County native Brenda Whitlock will bring her unique style of gospel music to the Houston today. She is shown on stage at the Flywheel Festival in September at Joe Brigance Park.

As part of the continuing “Live in the Park” series sponsored by the Chickasaw Development Foundation, Brenda Whitlock will be in concert in the Master Gardners Park beside Houston City Hall June 5.
Whitlock is a native of Okolona and a renowned gospel singer/songwriter whose lastest song “Not Gonna Let Nobody Take My Crown,” was released in January.
She broke the top 100 in southern gospel with a previous release,”A Soul is Worth More.”
The event begins at 5 p.m. and is free to the public. Limited seating is available. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.
