David Liles

rp_American_OBIT_flag_2a_310Z-300x2251.jpgCOFFEEVILLE – David A. Liles, 78, died Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at Yalobusha General Hospital in Water Valley. He was born July 18, 1935, in Coffeeville.

He was a retired Yalobusha County employee and a member of Clear Springs Baptist Church, the American Legion, the Calhoun City VFW and the DAV. He served eight years in the U.S. Air Force. He was preceded in death by his parents, Perry L. Liles and Ethel Spurgeon Liles; a sister; Mary Frances Simpson; and a brother, Crystal (Pete) Liles.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today, May 29, at Clear Springs Baptist Church in Coffeeville. Bro. Truman Scarbrough will officiate, and Bro. Joseph Ingram will assist. Burial will be in Clear Springs Cemetery in Coffeeville. Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Dye Liles of Coffeeville; two stepdaughters, Lori Williams of Pope and Lisa Vance of Calhoun City; one stepson, Michael (Tammy) Cowsert of Pope; one sisters, Merline Hansen of Nesbit; one brother, Charles Liles of Coffeeville; stepgrandchildren, Daphne Bias of Calhoun City, Austin Cowsert, Jarrett Williams and Laura Beth Davis, all of Pope; stepgreat-grandchildren, MaKenzy Bias, MaKynah Bias, Kenston Wright, Tylan Boyette and Ryan Davis, all of Pope; two nieces; three nephews; five great-nieces; and three great-gephews.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to service time Thursday.
