BRUCE – Linda Gail Cooper, 62, died on Sunday, May 25, 2014, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Born Friday, Aug. 10, 1951, in Bruce, she was the daughter of the late Claxton “”Tunny”” Collums and the late Marjorie Easley Collums Chrestman.
She was the wife of Robert “Bob” Cooper. She was a graduate of Bruce High School Class of 1969. She attended Northwest Community College and University of Mississippi where she earned a bachelor’s degree in education. She was a retired teacher for Bruce Upper Elementary School.
Surviving are her son, Sherman (Cassie) Cooper of Saltillo; her daughter, Jessica (Alex) Aguilar of Jackson; a sister, Bettye (Frank) Tutor of Belden; and grandchildren, Cooper Aguilar, Sophia Aquilar and Lily Jo Cooper.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Bruce with Dr. Daniel Hathorne officiating and Bro. Richard Freelon assisting.
The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Parker Memorial Funeral Home, in Bruce.
