ABERDEEN – Bro. Jerry David Hallmark, 65, died Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was formerly of Houston.

He was born July 26, 1948, in Itawamba County to David Alvis Hallmark and Velera Betty Lou Shackleford Hallmark. He was the pastor of Assembly of God in Aberdeen. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 17, at Memorial Funeral Home in Houston with Bro. Bob Wilburn and Bro. Kenneth Lockhart officiating. Burial will be at Chickasaw Memorial Gardens. Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Wilma Jean Pope Hallmark of Aberdeen; two daughters, Michelle Turner (John) of Amory and Carla Spencer (Brad) of Vardaman; one son, Dewayne Hallmark of Houston; six grandchildren, Brittney Kelton, Olivia Turner, Hunter Spencer, Justin Spencer, J.D. Hallmark and Kinley Hallmark; one great-grandchild, Camden Kelton; one sister, Linda Hester of Nettleton; and one brother, Terry Hallmark of Nettleton.
He is preceded in death by his parents, David and Velera Hallmark; and one sister, Paulett Barron.
Pallbearers will be Doug Hester, Dale Hester, Terry Hallmark Jr., Scott Hallmark, Bill Blissard, and Joe Peden.
Honorary pallbearers will be Hunter Spencer, Justin Spencer, J.D. Hallmark and Austin Kelton.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Memorial Funeral Home in Houston.
