ABERDEEN – Dwight David Chandler, 59, died Monday, May 5, 2014, at his home. He was born Feb. 12, 1955, to Mallie Poole Chandler and John Chandler.
He received his education from the Aberdeen schools and ICC. He owned rental property, a grocery store and his own roofing business while living in Chicago.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 11, at New Hebron M.B. Church. The Rev. Rodrick Chandler will officiate. Williams Memorial of Okolona is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Cassandra Farr Chandler of Aberdeen; daughter, Latheresa Chandler of Chicago; two sons, Dwight Davis Chandler and Brandee Steffen Cosey (Jahvin) of Chicago; five sisters, Annie Pargo and Lorenzo of Aberdeen, Teresa Ware and Willie of Aberdeen, Bessie James and Perrick of Tupelo, Essie Smith and Patrick of Atlanta and Bernice Griffin and Roosevelt of Aberdeen; eight brothers, John Chandler, James Chandler, Robert Chandler, Leo Chandler, Thomas Chandler, Curtis Chandler, Charles Chandler and Timothy Chandler; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
