Roy Hadley, Jr.

rp_American_OBIT_flag_2a_310Z-300x2251.jpgTUPELO – Sgt. Roy Hadley Jr. died Monday, April 28, 2014, at North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born to the late Roy Hadley Sr. and Mary Emma Hadley Edwards on July 16 ,1948.

He attended George Washington Carver High School in 1970. Then he joined the Army Reserves. He was employed with Mid-South Packers Super Sales.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Mary Hadley of Tupelo; his son, Roy (Juaria) Hadley Jr. of Nettleton; his daughters, Jennifer (Tavris) Mack of Olive Branch, Stephanie (Pierre) Hadley of Saltillo, Kizzy Hadley of Tupelo and Vanessa (Troy) Lee of Memphis; two brothers, Eddie Lee Hadley of Dyersburg, Tenn., and Willie Charles Hadley of Tacoma, Wash.; four sisters, Josephine Newsom, Martha (Charles) Hubbard, Catherine Freeman, all of Tupelo, and Erma (Hoover) Moore of Okolona; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 3, at White Hill M.B. Church. The Rev. Jeffrey Daniel will officiate. Burial will be in Verona Cemetery. N.L. Jones Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be from 4 to 5 p.m. Friday and family hour from 5 to 6 p.m. Friday.
