The National Weather Service predicted severe weather Monday and Chickasaw County was placed under tornado watches twice Monday afternoon.

Those storms moved across Northwest Chickasaw County at 3 p.m. and across Southeast Chickasaw County at 4:30 p.m. There were several alleged funnel cloud sighting, but no proof the tornadoes actually touched the ground.
