Wolverines, Ladies claim top spots

Softball-Girl-LOGOThe East Webster Wolverines took top honors in division 2-2A, going 7-2 and clinching district title, but still have plenty of time on the field before they hit the playoff road.
The division champs earned a bye in the play-in round this week but have it full of non-division games they can use to warm up with.
The Wolves were scheduled to play Bruce Monday, Houston Tuesday and French Camp Wednesday and will open playoffs at home in Cumberland next Thursday.
“We play East Union at home May 1, there on May 2,” said coach Wes Johnson.
Playoff format is best-of-three and if a third game is needed, it will be played in Cumberland May 3.

Lady Wolves head to playoff road

On the girl’s diamond, the Lady Wolverines also clinched division and earned a bye and will host their first playoff game May 1.
