HOUSTON – Glenda Ann Boring Gann, 73, died Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at her home. She was born Aug. 29, 1940 In Talladega, Ala., to Goza Boring and Billie Kenamer Boring.
She was a graduate of St. Petersburg College in Florida. She was owner of Gann’s Bookeeping Service until her retirement. She was a member of Pearson Chapel Church of the Nazarene.
The funeral is set for 11 a.m. Thursday, April 24 at Southern Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Scott Samuell officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Houlka.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her daughter, Dianne Melton of Houston; her grandchildren: Amy (Jamie) Adams and Lenora (Josh) Mixon both of Houston, Steve (Brandy) Melton of Jackson; great-grandchildren: Dylan Adams, Justin Adams, Levi Melton, Lakelyn Melton, Brooklyn Mixon, Emilee Mixon, JT Mixon, Brad Gill, Steven Melton, Brice Melton; and special friend Shookie Melton.
Visitation will be Wednesday at the funeral home.
