Willard Jones

CJ-0416-OBIT-Jones-1KBELDEN – Willard Drusell Jones, 73, died Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. A native of Chickasaw County, he was the son of Drusell Jones and Maggie Lou Berry.

He was a member of Big Hill United Methodist Church, where he served as a steward. He was a retired employee of Day-Brite. He loved talking on the telephone.
Celebration of life service will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 11, at Inspirational Community Baptist Church in Tupelo. The Rev. Antionetta Word will deliver the eulogy. Burial will be in Big Hill Cemetery. Kenneth I. Roberson Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Autia Jones of Belden; four daughters, Carla Buford of Houston, Yvette Jones and Tommie Moore, both of Belden, and Virginia Jones of Holly Springs; his stepmother, Earline Jones of St. Louis, Mo.; one sister, Karen Jones of St. Louis; two brothers, Russell Jones of Washington D.C. and Lance Jones of St. Louis; nine grandchildren; and one great grandson.
Visitation is from 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday with family hour from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
