BRUCE – Charles Wayne Brasher, 60, died Friday, April 4, 2014, at his home. He was born Nov. 27, 1952, to Ular and Virgie Brasher. He attended Houlka High School where he graduated in 1970.
He resided in the Pilgrim Rest Community and drove a semitruck most of his life before becoming disabled.
Services were 2 p.m. Sunday, April 6, at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc with Bro. Pete Gregory officiating. Burial will be in Collums Cemetery. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include one son, Justin Charles Brasher (Hannah); brother, Curt Brasher (Mary Lou); sisters, Rea Easley, Dorothy Tharp (Clyde) and Nancy Washington (Ronald); and grandchildren, Paxton Brasher and Blakelyn Brasher.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ular and Virgie Brasher; brother, Clartis “Toddy” Brasher; sister, Faye Bush; and wives, Barbara Ward Brasher and Joanne Pettit Brasher.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Washington, Ted Easley, Tony Easley, Bobby Blunt, Robert Tedder and John Strugil.
Visitation was from noon until 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
