Clemmie Crews

PITTSBORO – Clemmie Ella Crew, 105, died Saturday, March 29, 2014, at Bruce Living Center in Bruce. She was born Feb. 7, 1909, in Calhoun County to James H. Cook and Alice Armanda Davis Cook.

She married Hollie Crew on Aug. 21, 1928. She was a housewife and a member of Westside Baptist Church.
She is survived by nieces, Sarah Lowe of Houston, Alice Scott of Pearl and Dot Muller of Woodville, Texas; and nephews, Charles Cook of Canton and Jimmy Cook of Brandon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hollie Crew; a son, Alfred Lee Crew; two brothers, Russell Cook and Lem Cook; two sisters, Gatha Cook Lamar and Madge Cook Blissard; and her parents.
Services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, at Pryor Funeral Home Chapel in Calhoun City. Bro. Jeff Gilder  officiated. Burial was in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Calhoun City.
Pallbearers were David Crew, Scott Crew, Charles Cook, Jimmy Cook, Wes Lowe, Franklin Lowe and Craig Lamar.
