Hattie Carouthers

CJ-0402-OBIT-Caroth-1CNETTLETON – Hattie L. Carouthers, 79, died Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born May 23, 1934, to Earvin and Tessie Carouthers.
Service will be at noon Saturday, March 29, at New Zion Church in Van Vleet with Pastor Odell Barnes officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Moriah cemetery. Agnew & Sons funeral Home of Verona is in charge of arrangement.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia (Charles) McCann of Nashville, Tenn., and Mary (Terry) Cooperwood of Belden: one son, Floyd Carouthers of Nettleton: three sisters, Haddie J. Johnson, Carcenie (Wilford) Freen, both of Shannon, and Earnestine (Johnny) Jenkins of Cleveland, Ohio; two brothers, Andrew Carouthers and James Carouthers, both of Okolona; sister-in-law, Ozella Carouthers of Nettleton; brother-in-law, Washington Richardson of Shannon; 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Earvin Carouthers Jr.; and one sister, Sarah Richardson.
