WEST POINT – Rowena “Cooter” Doss Davidson, 88, died Saturday, March 8, 2014, at her home in the Brand community. She was born Dec. 6, 1925, to George Butler Doss and Cinderella Parker Doss.

She was a member of Union Baptist Church in Brand. She had a passion for people.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 15, at Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Bobby Bowen officiating. Williams Memorial Funeral Home of Okolona is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are six daughters, Amy Davidson and Brenda (Willie) Walker, both of West Point, Geneva (James) McMillian of Una, Betty Davidson of Houston, Rowena Shotwell and Marnie Parker, both of Chicago; two sons, Lonnie Davidson (Cathy) of West Point and George Davidson (Ruenez) of Prairie; four sisters, Lella McIntosh and Ida Thompson, both of Una, Ruth Glover and Earnestine Franklin, both of Chicago; one brother, Son Doss of Chicago; 35 grandchildren; and 94 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jerdean Hatch; a son, R.B. Davidson; four brothers; and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
