UNTOWN – Charles David “C.D.” Smith, 76, died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014, at his home. He was a member of New Hope Full Gospel Church.

He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was a veteran of the Korean War, Desert Storm and Vietnam.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, at Kesler Funeral Home Chapel in Baldwyn with Bro. Terry Myhand officating. Burial will be in the Friendship Cemetery. Kesler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include three daughters, Twila Wilmoth (Norman) of Baldwyn, Beverly Bailey (Mark) of Guntown and Valerie Earnest (Ed) of Houston; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three sisters; and one brother.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Smith; one son, David Smith; one daughter, Danica McCord; one grandaughter, Destiny McCord; his parents, Wesley and Clester Smith; three brothers, J.V., Junior and Merle Smith; one sister, Gladys Turner; and a son-in-law, Anthony McCord.
Pallbearers will be his nephews, and Lonnie Bailey and Ben Armstrong.
Visitation will be from 5 until 9 p.m. Friday.
