The gowns, masks, surgical instruments and newspaper clippings about the old Houston Hospital on display at the Chickasaw County Museum will come down at the end of January.

The exhibit was created for the opening of the Museum at 304 Woodland Circle in Joe Brigance Park in September and was an immediate hit.

The artifacts and items will be replaced by Civil War memorabilia that will go on display this spring.

The Chickasaw County Museum is open during regular business hours, Monday through Friday and history buffs are urged to just drop by or call the museum at 456-0080. Tours can be arranged by calling N. Colburn at 448-0413, Sally Beaty at 456-3413 or Jan Dyson at 542-9004.

Admission is free.
