Lula Bell Ware

CJ-0115-OBIT-Ware-1K.jpgPONTOTOC – Lula Bell Ware, 101, died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, at New Albany Health and Rehabilitation in New Albany. A native of Pontotoc, she was the daughter of Columbus Hester and Elnora Eubanks Hester. She was a member of Usher Valley UM Church, where she was the oldest member. She was the widower of Johnny Mac Ware.
A celebration of life service will be 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 13, at Usher Valley UM Church with Dr. George Pulliam officiating. Burial will be in East County Line Cemetery in Houlka. Kenneth I. Roberson Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by one son, Eugene Hobson of Grand Rapids, Mich.; four grandchildren who provided her care, Linda Fitzpatrick, Modess (Steven) Young, Terry Spicer and Willie Spicer, all of Pontotoc; one sister, Nora Dixon of Ecru; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Inez Spicer.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
