American_OBIT_flag_2a_310ZSOUTHAVEN – Roger Paul Turner, 67, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Desoto in Southaven. He was born Sept. 9, 1946, in Bruce.

He was a Mason and a member of Hernando Lodge 51. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of Vietnam. He was a retired commercial trucker.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Bruce with Bro. J.R. Eaton officiating. Burial will be in Bruce Cemetery. Parker Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his special friend and companion, Tashia King of Southaven; his daughters, Paula Ables of Southaven and Salenia Moore of Memphis; his stepdaughters, Heather Bandy of Southaven and Kim Smith of Arkansas; his stepson, Brian Covington of Southaven; grandchildren, Danielle Covington, Briley Covington, Bryce, Timmy and Collin Vanderhook, Kayla and Hailey Covington, Jade and Jacob Chappell; and great-granddaughter, Madelynn Covington.
He was preceded in death by his parents, A.B. Turner and Opal Harwell Turner.
Pallbearers will be Brian Covington, Bryce Covington, Chris Millican, Tony Thompson, Collin Vanderhook, Scott Vanderhook and Timmy Vanderhook.
Visitation will be from noon to service time Saturday.
