Having clients trust the work, advice and value of Keith Pounds CPA has been the key to the success of this local firm.

“Building trust with our clients is our first priority,” said Keith Pounds, firm owner. “We are dealing with people’s businesses and finances and they have to know we are going to do the right things, do our job accurately and professionally and that we have their best interest in mind.”

Pounds said solving problems for businesses and individuals is the part of the job he likes best.

“This business really is all about helping people,” said Pounds. “They may have a tax problem or a business problem and finding a solution makes both of us happy.”

Keith Pounds CPA is a full-line accounting firm and offers its services to businesses large and small and individuals as well. They handle general business bookkeeping, payroll, tax preparation and planning and specific accounting tasks as well.

“We do the whole nine-yards,” Pounds said with a smile. “We serve people all over the country and help businesses from New York to California with their accounting needs.”

Pounds went to work for David Thomas in 1983 in Houston.

“I established this business in 1978 and hired Keith while I served as (Chickasaw County) Chancery Clerk,” said Thomas. “I made him a partner, then he took over the business and now I work for him. That tells you how good of a businessman he is.”

Pounds said he prefers to talk about what he can do for clients rather than himself.

“Taxes and bookkeeping procedures can be scary to some people,” said Pounds. “Helping them wade through all that and make the best decisions for their specific financial goals or their business is what we do.”

Pounds pointed out tax laws change every year and keeping up with what is new and what might fit a client’s needs is the work of a good CPA.

“We also have clients who come in and have heard about a new tax program or tax break and they want to know the details,” said Pounds. “We do the homework and find out if it fits their needs. Every client we have is unique and what works with one individual or business might not be the best choice for someone else.”

Pounds also pointed out he has four full-time employees and seasonal help that makes for prompt and professional service.

“We want our customers to trust us, be satisfied with our work and agree that we charge a fair price,” said Pounds. “Those clients stay with you year after year and that’s how we have grown this business.”

I am quite impressed with this group of professional CPAs. They must have large experience and looking very effective. Indeed, age brings more experience and the clients could expect more from them. Thanks for posting about that.
