GORE SPRINGS – Eva Barbara Williams Marter, 82, died Monday, Dec. 9, 2013, at Grace Health and Rehab in Grenada. She was born April 9, 1931, in Bolivar County to Douglas Williams and Etosian Allday Williams.
She was a retired Walmart receptionist and a member of Gore Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Sheri (Charles) Spencer of Collierville, Tenn.; two sons, Curtis Britt of Duck Hill; and Chris (Dana) Marter of Gore Springs; two stepdaughters, Shirley Roberson of Enid and Joy (Gary) Tippit of Enid; one stepson, Buddy Marter of Jackson; two brothers, Shelton (Marylin) Williams of Slate Springs; and Curtis Williams of Calhoun City; two grandchildren, Marlie Marter and McKenzie Marter; and two stepgrandchildren, Angie Miller and Loyd Tippit.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Wayne Britt; her second husband, Clifford Marter; parents; one sister, Bertha Hodge; and one brother, Boyd Williams.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, at Pryor Funeral Home Chapel in Calhoun City. The Rev. Bernette Fielder will officiate. Burial will be in Parker Cemetery at Alva.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Danny Hodge, Durwood Hodge, Daniel Crusie, Clay Hood, Sam Marter and Steve Marter.
