MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Quinton Johnson Anglin, 92, formerly of the Loyd community in Calhoun County, died Monday, Dec. 2, 2013, at Highlands of Memphis in Memphis, Tenn. He was born March 21, 1921, in Reid.
He was a member of Loyd Baptist church and a U.S. ArmyVeteran of World War II. He was retired from Shelby County Health Dept.
Services will be at noon, Thursday, Dec. 5, at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James Brown officiating and Bro. Robert Earl Alexander assisting. Burial will be in Poplar Springs Cemetery in Vardaman. Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Putt (Michael) and Gail Wilkes, both of Memphis, Tenn.; two grandchildren, Michael Putt Jr. and Jennifer Key; and three great-grandchildren, Michael Blake Putt, Noah Aron Key and Abel Joshua Key.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arice Lee Anglin and Irene Brown Anglin; wife, Jeweleen Boatner Anglin; three brothers, A.L., Garnell and Willie Ray Anglin; and four sisters, Dollie Brown, Eunice Owens, Nettie Lee Moore and Frances Murray
The body will lie in state one hour prior to service Thursday at the funeral home
