HOULKA — Charlsey Juanita Walters Vance, 94, passed away Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, at Calhoun Health Services in Calhoun City.
She was born Oct. 10, 1919, in Chickasaw County to Charles Walters and Etta Lowery Walters. She was a homemaker.
Services are Saturday, Nov 9, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Houston Funeral Home in Houston with Rev. Scott Samuell officiating. Burial will follow at Chickasaw Memorial Gardens in Houston. Houston Funeral Home of Houston is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her sons, Henry DeArmon and Bobby Vance of Batesville, Stanley Ray and Helen Vance of Houlka; her grandchildren, Mike Vance of Houston, Victor Vance of Horn Lake, Clay Vance of Marks, Justan Vance of Nashville, Clay Walls of Houston, Texas, Marie Moore of Vardaman, her great-grandchildren, Amy Vance of Olive Branch, Cheryl Hughes of Abbeville, Conner, Zach, and Rachel Vance of Horn Lake, Wyatt and James Henry Vance of Marks, Bridget Moore Echols, Jessica and Charlsie Moore of Vardaman, Monica, Kelsey, Kaitlyn, and Sierra Walls of Houston, Texas, Krystal Walls of Oxford; her great-great-grandchildren, Kallie Moore of Vardaman, Leocadia Walls of Houston, Texas, and Alycia and Grayce Hughes of Abbeville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Larry Doyle Vance, her son, Larry Dwight Vance, her sisters, Syble Pettit, and Mable Sumner; her brothers, Malcolm and Herman Walters.
Pallbearers are Clayton Vance, Casey Vance, Jerry Vance, Darrin Vance, Grant King and Justan Vance
Visitation is Friday, Nov. 8, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Houston Funeral Home.
