Ruby Romero

PITTSBORO – Ruby Kay Romero, 69, died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013, at Joy Health Center in Cleveland. She was born Aug. 3, 1944, to Rube E. Cleveland and Beatrice McDonald Cleveland in Calhoun County. She was a factory seamstress and a member of Church of God of Prohecy.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, at Church of God of Prophecy in Bruce with Bro. Sherman Adams officiating. Burial will be in Rocky Mt. Cemetery in Calhoun County. Southern Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, Serfin Romero; five daughters, Sheron Sanders of Old Town, Lisa Carol Mills of Bruce, Tammy Kay Sanders and Penny Neblett, both of Old Town, and Regina McKeller of Bentley; one son, David Ray Sanders of Pittsboro; 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Pallbearers will be Alan Brassfield, Tommy Mills, Spencer Killebrew, Brandon Ard, Jessie Ard and Patrick Sanders.
