BYHALIA – James Micah “Jimmy” Bishop, 51, died Friday, Oct. 18, 2013, at Baptist Hospital East in Memphis. He was born Oct. 27, 1961, in Texas to James K. Bishop and Faye Shirley Bishop. He was a buyer for Jabil Circuits in Olive Branch and was a member of Houlka Baptist Church.
Services are 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21, at the Collums Cemetery Pavilion in Houlka with Rev. Donald Holder and Rev. David Blackwell officiating. Burial will follow at Collums Cemetery. Houston Funeral Home of Houston is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his mother, Faye Bishop of Houlka; his sister, Toni and Bobby Brown of Houlka; his niece, Rhianna and William McClellan of Pontotoc; his nephews, Gregory and Daphne King of Houston and Micah Brown of Houlka; his great-nieces, Maddie King, Isabella King, Arlee McClellan and Jacee McClellan; great-nephew, Kacen McClellan; and his aunt, Dorothy Williams.
He was preceded in death by his father, James K. Bishop; and his grandparents, Clara and R.R. Shirley and Floy and Vard Bishop.
Pallbearers are William McClellan, John Collums, Gregory King, Jimmy Wayne Collums, Andrew Pouncey and Bobby Brown.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at Collums Cemetery at the pavilion.
