He was a veteran of World War II. He was a retiree of Metropolitan Life Insurance Company and the Pontotoc City School System, where he was a bus driver for 15 years. He was a member of Hwy. 15 Church of Christ in Pontotoc.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc. Ministers Danny Rodgers and Robert Kingsley will officiate. Burial will be in the Hartwell-Tutor Cemetery. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Willie Belle Anderson Young; a son, Clinton W. Young Jr.; sisters, Clara Campbell of Pensacola, Fla., Joyce McCharen of Tupelo, Kathleen Foster of Pontotoc, Willie Belle Dancer (J.F.) of Houston and Lucille Wilson of Springhill, La.; and brothers, Truman Young (Kathy) and Carl Young (Peggy) of Pontotoc.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Berry W. and Lois Holley Young; and sisters, Dorthy Washington, Lorene Holley, Lillie Baker and Nelly Young.
Pallbearers will be Davin Young, Derick Young, Micky Baker, Ted Foster and Chris and Scott Anderson.
Visitation will continue from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday.
