BIG CREEK – Francis William Havens, 67, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born Oct. 21, 1945, in Grenada County to Carl Edward Havens and Dessie Gray Havens. He was a maintenance worker for Weyerhauser and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda McGee Havens of Big Creek; one daughter, Lisa (Wayne) Reynolds of Big Creek; three sons, Steven (Cindy) Havens of Guntown, Carl Havens of Big Creek; and Michael (Kim) Havens of Bruce; eight grandchildren, Paige Parks, Brenton (Jessica) Reynolds, Braeden Reynolds, Jensyn Havens, Colby Havens, Cyle Havens, Cain Havens and Allie Brooke Havens; two great-grandchildren, Autumn Blaire Reynolds and Eric Crocker; and a sister, Hazel Young Russell of Tupelo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Mary Young Stokes; and three brothers, James Edward Havens, Charles Curtis Havens and Louis Ralph Havens.
Services will be at 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20, at Shiloh Baptist Church in Big Creek. The Rev. Joe Hearn and the Rev. Joe Russell will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Nebo Cemetery in Big Creek. Pryor Funeral Home of Calhoun City is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Ed Reems, Lynn Havens, Danny Havens, John Havens, Antoine Stokes and Barry Stokes.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday at Shiloh Baptist Church in Big Creek.
