PONTOTOC – Carl Winford Skelton, 76, died Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. He was a 1956 graduate of Algoma High School, he was an Air Force veteran and a business owner. He was the founder of Triangle Service, beginning in 1978 and retiring in 2001.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc with Bro. Joe Connell officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Cemetery in Verona.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Mattie Stephenson Skelton; two daughters, Carla Bonner and Lori Murrey; a son, David Skelton; granddaughters, Kristin McDaniels, Autumn Young, Kathryn Moore, Blake Skelton and Erika Skelton; great-grandchildren, Kawaii Moore, Barron Russell and Henley McDaniel.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Skelton; his mother, Jodie Ann Walls Skelton; his brothers, Dennis Chapman, Jim Skelton, Joe Skelton, Keyfor Skelton and Curmit Skelton; and a sister, Dorinda Tutor Washington.
Pallbearers will be Vic Bonner, Mark McDaniel, Takashi Moore, Christopher Murrey, Brian Tutor and Mike Gillentine.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday.
Memorials may be made to Sanctuary Hospice House or the Wounded Warrior Project.
