WREN – Amanda D. Massey, 36, died on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, in Memphis. Born on April 6, 1977, in Birmingham, Ala., she was a daughter of Terry W. and Nancy Clark Hallman.
She was a graduate of SBEC in Southaven and attended ICC. After graduating from beauty school in Memphis, she worked as a hairdresser. Growing up Baptist, she was a former member of Bellevue Baptist Church. Having a big heart, a beautiful smile and a great personality, she was passionate about helping others, enjoyed telling jokes, doing crafts, singing, shopping and spending time with her mom and listening to U2.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her daughter, Kristen Olivia Massey of Wren (fiancé, Kip Reese); granddaughter, Holland Massey; sisters, Stacey Hallman of Wren and Paige Kennedy (Bubba) of Evergreen; nieces, Lydia Heinz and Hadrien Hallman; and special friend, Josh “Jocawa” Warner of Memphis.
A celebration of life service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Clark and Bro. Bubba Kennedy officiating.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2:50 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
