MANTEE – Barry Alexander Weston, 81, died Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2013, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. He was born Nov. 19, 1931, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada to George and Dorothy Alison Weston.
Before he became a naturalized U.S. citizen, he served from 1949 to 1955 in the Canadian Army, in Canada and the Far East. He married Brenda F. Oglesby Wallace of Columbus in West Monroe, La., on Aug. 2, 1986. He was employed by JWI as a salesman for 36 years, retiring in 1995.
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home. A private family memorial service will be held at a later time in Mantee.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda F. Weston of Mantee; his daughter, Sandra Weston of Wetumpka, Ala.; his sister, Dorothy De La Fosse of Toronto, Ontario Canada; four stepchildren, Todd Wallace of Union Springs, Ala., Marty Wallace of Columbus, Jed Wallace of Camden, Tenn., and Gaye Wilson of Mantee; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
