PHEBA – Jean Wooten Harkins, 74, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2013, at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville. She was born July 11, 1939, in Mathiston to Alma Frances Wright and Walter S. Wooten.
She was a homemaker and a member of Pheba Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing and working in her yard. She married William Robert Harkins on April 27, 1957, in Pheba. He preceded her in death in 1998.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Scott Griffin officiating. Burial will follow in Pheba Cemetery. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her daughter, Shelby Dinese Wilson of Mascoutah, Ill.; two grandchildren, Mallory Wilson and Marissa Wilson and Teeny Bigham of Pheba.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two sons, Jerry Wayne Harkins and Robert Paul Harkins; two brothers, Grady Wooten and Harvey Wooten; and one sister, Dorothy May.
Pallbearers will be Samuel Bigham, Nicholas Bigham, Jason Bigham, Billy Wayne Mitchell, Joby Washington and Robert Washington. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Bates, Ruble Alford and all her church family at Pheba Baptist Church.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Monday at Calvert Funeral Home.
