HOUSTON –Naomi Jean Smith Toland, 77, died Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born April 20, 1936, in Houston to William Terry Smith and Laura Lee Park Smith.
She was a retired sales clerk for Shasco and a member of Houston First United Methodist Church.
Services are 10 a.m. Friday, June 28, at Houston Funeral Home in Houston, with Rev. Mike Childs officiating. Burial will follow at Chickasaw Memorial Gardens in Houston. Houston Funeral Home of Houston is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her daughter, Pamela Dendy of Woodland; her son, Terry and Linda Kay Toland of Houston; her grandchildren, John William Laster, James Robert Laster, Raymond Laster, Rachel Dawn Toland, Anna Marie Toland, Jacky Knight, Christina Knight, Shaun Dendy, Chris Dendy; and her eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Bobby Ray Toland.
Pallbearers are, Raymond Laster, John Laster, James Laster, Rayburn Parks, Kenneth Wayne Scott, Scottie Criddle.
Honorary pallbearers are Charles Chandler, Kenny Scott, Jerry Thompson.
Visitation will be Thursday, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Houston Funeral Home.
