OXFORD — Betty Mack Priest Brown, 72, died Thursday, June 6, 2013, at her home in Oxford.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 10, at Waller Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Barksdale officiating. A graveside service followed in Priest Cemetery in Houston, at 2:30 on Monday.
Visitation was held from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Born in Houston, Mrs. Brown was the widow of Mr. Jimmy Russell Brown. She was a member of St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church. She was a Girl Scout Troop Leader and an avid Ole Miss fan. She was also a very active Oxford High School Band Booster.
She was preceded in death by her sister Marie Park.
Survivors include three daughters, Melissa Allen of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Michelle Brown of Concord, Calif., and Meribeth Long of Southaven; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
