Cecil Flemons

BIG CREEK – Cecil Flemons, 86, died Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Calhoun Health Services Nursing Home. He was born Sept. 23, 1926, in Pine Valley, to Robert Holland Flemons and Freddie Blake Carmical Flemons. He was a farmer, former Mason Big Creek Lodge, former Farm Beurea Board Member, Former Member of Gore Spring Gin Board and was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church.

Service is at 2 p.m. Monday at Parker Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Chris Conlee and Bro. Jimmy Vance officiating. Interment is at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Big Creek.

He is survived by two sons, Robert Flemons (Doris) of Big Creek and Earl Flemons (Teresa) of Big Creek; two daughters, Kay Howell (Terry) of Baytown Texas, and Freddie Bond (Tony) of Eads, Tenn.; one sister, Jewel Clanton of Eupora; close friend, Jamie Howell; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He is proceeded in death by his parents; wife, Linnie Chilcoat Flemons; and sister, Hazel Redwine.

Pallbearers are Kevin Flemons, Kelby Flemons, Daryl Howell, Davin Parker, Griffin Hutchins, Matt Winters and Michael Loftin.

Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday.
