WEST POINT – Tommy L. Rushing, 75, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2013, at Community Hospice at Darlington Oaks in Verona. He was born Oct. 18, 1937, in Cleveland to Ora Rebecca Burgess and William Tommy Rushing. He worked in janitorial for the Blazon Tube Corporation for 25 years. He was of the Pentecostal faith. He married Violet Lee Collier Rushing on Aug. 30, 1965, in Greenville. She preceded him in death on Jan. 16, 2007.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kosciusko with the Rev. Neal Rammage officiating. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include one son, Rickey Harrell (Patricia Porter) of West Point; one sister, Lyndhale Petrozza of Greenville; and one brother, Marvin Rushing of Madison, Wis.
Visitation will be from 10:45 a.m. until service time Friday at the graveside.
