PITTSBORO – Frances Lucille Head Watson, 96, died Monday, April 29, 2013, at Bruce Community Living Center. She was born Feb. 21, 1917, in Dale, Okla., to John Roy Head and Bessie Bell Head. She was a retired employee of Kellwood and a member of Duncan Hill Baptist Church.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Duncan Hill Baptist Church in Derma. Bro. Benny Hill and Bro. Robert Alexander will officiate. Burial will be in Providence Cemetery at Bruce. Pryor Funeral Home of Calhoun City is in charge of the arrangements.
She is survived by three daughters, Geneva Morris of Seabrook, Texas, Jane Hammett of West Monroe, La., and Judy Starks of Calhoun City; one sister, Maxine Craigo of Birmingham, Ala.; two brothers, Raymond Head and George Dewey Head, both of Albuquerque, N.M.; eight grandchildren, Debra (Mike) Griffin, Laura (Bill) Addiego, Timothy (Janet) Morris, Shelly (David) Stoddard, Alice (Julius) Massey, Julie (Matt) Fulton, Olivia Bonner and Rhonda (Hoyt) McCormick; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She receded in death by her husband, Russell Watson; her parents; two sisters and four brothers.
Pallbearers will be David Stoddard, Julius Massey, Matt Fulton, Tim Morris, Hoyt McCormick and Robbie Head. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of Duncan Hill Baptist Church.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at Duncan Hill Baptist Church.
