ST. LOUIS – Darlinda Barr Franks, 58, died Wednesday, April 17, 2013, in St. Louis, Mo. She was born Feb. 9, 1955, to Milton Barr and the late Maxine Clopton Barr.
She was a member of Zion Spring M.B. Church after moving to St. Louis. She joined Union Sinai M.B. Church. She was a graduate of Okolona High School and Jackson State University.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Spring M.B. Church. The Rev. Lawerence Whitley officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Williams Memorial of Okolona is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors are her husband, Domentral Franks Jr. of St. Louis; her father, Milton Barr Jr. of Okolona; daughter, Darmetria Franks of St. Louis; stepdaughter, Tonya Franks of St. Louis; two sisters, Wilma McMillian (Adam) of Okolona and Jacqueline Ewing (Rev. Otis) of Okolona; and two brothers, Marvin Barr (Teresa) of Okolona and Dale Barr (Ruthie) of Okolona.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Maxine Clopton Barr.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday with a wake from 6 to 7 p.m.
