Ronnie Clanton

GRENADA – Ronald Wayne “Ronnie” Clanton, 61, formerly of Calhoun City, died Friday, April 5, 2013, at Grenada Lake Medical Center. He was born Sept. 1, 1951, in Eupora to Braxton Clanton and Ruth Beck Clanton. He was a retired finn press machine operator for Heatcraft and a member of Bradford Chapel Baptist Church.

He is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Lynn (Eddie) Long of Independence; one brother, Steve Clanton of Gore Springs; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Sheryl Lynn Clanton; and a brother, Larry Clanton.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Bradford Chapel Baptist Church at Gore Springs with the Rev. John Haimes officiating. Burial will be in the Bradford Chapel Cemetery. Pryor Funeral Home of Calhoun City is in charge of the arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Mickey Trussell, Joey Trussell, Melvin Clanton, Ben Clanton, Chase Noel and Jimmy Blaylock.
