SPRINGDALE, Ark. – James Ellis Sugg, 70, died Saturday, April 13, 2013, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale, Ark. He was born Nov. 24, 1942, in West Point to Harry C and Mary Riley Sugg.
He was a retired food inspector for the U.S.D.A. He was a 32nd degree Mason and Shriner. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fayetteville. He enjoyed woodworking, mission work and beekeeping.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Sugg of Springdale, Ark.; son, James Ellis Sugg Jr. (Julie) of Tulsa, Okla.; daughter, Melissa Bradley (Jon) of Baton Rouge, La.; brother, Harry Sugg of Pensacola, Fla.; sister, Joan Cash of Jonesboro, Ark.; and grandchildren, Riley Sugg and T.J. Bradley.
A funeral service was held on Monday, April 15, at First Baptist Church in Fayetteville, Ark., with Dr. Douglas Faulkner officiating.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in New Hope Cemetery. E.E. Pickle Funeral Home is in charge. Everyone is asked to meet at 9:50 a.m. at the cemetery.
