HOUSTON – The Houston Band Boosters will host their annual fish fry fundraiser on March 8 and is asking the community to purchase their tickets as soon as possible.
The Friday night event will see Seafood Junction once again cook up to-go plates at Houston Middle School from 4 to 6 p.m.
“We’ve been doing this for about 8 to 10 years and the community always supports this,” said Teresa Moore, of the Houston Band Boosters. “Seafood Junction always cooks a great meal and our band kids help with this because they know it benefits them.”
A $10 ticket buys a catfish filet or chicken tender dinner complete with French fries, hushpuppies and slaw. Plates can be picked up in the Houston Middle School commons or at curbside by flagging down a band youngster.
Moore urged the community to buy tickets early so they can cook the appropriate number of meals.
This is the band’s major yearly fundraiser and proceeds from the fish fry are used for a variety of events helping Houston band members at all grade levels.
Tickets can be purchased by contacting any band member. For more information call the Houston High School Band Hall at 456-2336.
