BOONEVILLE – Samuel Brice “Sam” Edge, 20, died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, in Tippah County. He was born Oct. 6, 1992, in Tupelo. He was employed at Silver Dollar Sales in Golden. He was a member of Victory Harvest Church in Booneville. He enjoyed baseball, football and video games. He was well known for his large personality and everyone who knew him understood how much he loved his mother.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Charlie Wynn and Bro. David Krech officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
He is survived by his parents, Jimmy and Beverly Edge of Booneville; two brothers, Coty and Matthew Edge, both of Booneville; grandparents, Randy and Judy Mackin of Booneville, Junie Simmons of Ripley and Sammy Cumberland of Houston; great-grandfather, Milton Downs of Booneville and Roger and Ruth Finn of Greenville; godparents, Charlie and Jamese Wynn of Columbia, S.C.; a host of uncles, aunts and cousins; and special friend, Bailee Sparks of Belmont.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Judy Cumberland, Billy Edge, and Dean McKiney; and an uncle, Stevie McKiney.
Pallbearers are Aaron Duncan, Tre Welch, Clark Martin, Carlin Stephens, Adam Nichols, Clint Tucker, John Michael Carey, John Tull, Taylor Teddlie and Dalton Cartwright.
Visitation is 4 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
