Brody’s Family Restaurant is known for good food offered in a family atmosphere and cooked by people who truly care about how it tastes and is served.
Established more than 12 years ago, Brody’s has developed a reputation of feeding a lunchtime crowd a hearty meal and offering a sit-down, top-quality restaurant experience for evening supper customers.
“I don’t think people realize how much work goes into making good food day after day,” said owner Kallie Hughes. “You can cut corners and save on costs and time but you can also taste the difference.”
Hughes said Brody’s is truly a family-oriented restaurant that is also run by her family. Kallie is assisted by her daughter Katie and son Chris.
“A lot of families come in and eat our pizza buffet Wednesday through Friday,” said Katie. “All our pizzas are homemade. We use the freshest ingredients and make our crust-dough every day. It’s a favorite of the kids, but adults love them, too.”
Brody’s lunchtime favorite is their big home-style cheeseburger, with cheese sticks running a close second. Those looking to fill their tummy and get back on the job enjoy the cheeseburger and those wanting something a little lighter for lunch pick up the cheese sticks.
The night-time crowd typically wants the steak dinner with all the fixings or the fried fish plate made with local, farm-raised catfish.
And for desert there is a wide selection from Vintage Sweets, with each creation carefully cooked by Katie.
“And we really believe in service,” said Kallie. “Like I said, running a good restaurant is a lot of work. We work hard to keep tea glasses full and to serve it hot and quick.
“We have people who have been coming in since the day we opened,” she added. “Those customers mean a lot to us and we pride ourselves in giving them the good food and service they have come to expect.”
