CALHOUN CITY – Darrell G. Parker, 54, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at Calhoun Health Services in Calhoun City. He was born May 21, 1958, in Calhoun City. He attended Calhoun Academy. He was the owner and manager of Calhoun County Ready Mix and employed at Parker Brothers.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Bruce with the Rev. Jimmy Vance officiating. Burial will be in Pinecrest Cemetery in Calhoun City.

Survivors include a daughter, Candi (Preston) McGreger of Calhoun City; two sons, Jeremy Parker and Heath (Jamie) Parker, all of Calhoun City; his parents, Billy Wayne Parker Sr. and Wanda Sampsell Parker of Calhoun City; three brothers, Billy Wayne (Debbie) Parker Jr., Ricky (Cathy) Parker and Kennith Parker, all of Calhoun City; three grandchildren, Baylee Ray Bollinger, John Hagan Parker and Presley McGreger; and a special friend, Bernadette Sanders of Calhoun City.
Pallbearers will be Joe Cook, Dusty Gore, Sammy Lollar, Damon Parker, Josh Parker, Kodie Parker, Trent Parker and Jeff Robertson. Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Blackwelder, Johnny Cardwell, Dickie Crew, Bill Edmondson, Glenn Lenard and Kolton Parker.
