Vardaman Rams cheer at State

The Vardaman High School cheerleaders made a mark in their first State competition.
The girls placed fourth overall in small varsity pom routine at the MHSAA dance competition at Mississippi Coliseum in Jackson and were pleased with their efforts.
“We’re pretty excited,” said Johnna Landreth. “We may be a little school but fourth place is pretty good.”
The pom routine included some lifts and squad member Jade Ruth said the competition was tough.
“We were very excited due to the fact that we competed against very talented girls from schools all over the state,” Ruth said.
Out of 11 total teams in the small school pom division, the Vardaman girls took their fourth-place position in their first ever attempt.
“None of our girls had ever competed,” said squad member Abby Haire.
“I could be any prouder of our squad,” Landreth said.web cheer
