ECRU – Annette Thomas McPherson, 70, died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012 at her home. She was born Feb. 14, 1942, in Bruce to Buster and Jettie Thomas. She was a graduate of Ellard High School. She was a longtime seamstress in the garment and furniture industries and a grocery store owner. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, fishing and computer puzzle games. She was a Baptist.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tim Tutor officiating. Burial will be in Bruce Cemetery. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Christian (Steve) of Endville and Carol Duffie of Shannon; one son, Eddie McPherson (Sharon) of Brewer; six grandchildren, Stefanie Johnson (Andrew), Brittney McPherson, Jimmy McPherson, Katie Christian, Dusty Duffie and Lakin Duffie; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Ruth Lyles and Erma Williams; two brothers, Herman Thomas and Leslie Thomas.
Pallbearers will be Dusty Duffie, Jimmy McPherson, Andrew Johnson, Weston Mounce, James Lyles and Eddie Christian. Honorary pallbearers will be Wally and Reba Huey, and Gary and Kathy Covington.
Memorials may be made to Sanctuary Hospice House.
