OKOLONA – Students at the Okolona Vocational Center had their annual fall cook-out Oct. 19 with a twist. The faculty and staff organized a day of activities and physical games in addition to lots of good, grilled food.
“This year, instead of just eating, we added a field day element and let the students play kickball as well,” said Counselor Mary G. Aldredge.
Student Services Director, Kay Tackitt, said the event promotes good health, exercise and fitness.
“We call this our healthy cook-out promoting our youth for a better tomorrow,” Tackitt said.
