Donna Hill
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Donna Anita Hill, 55, died Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, at her home after an extended illness. She was born March 28, 1957, in Aberdeen, the daughter of Howard and Jimmie Nell Ausborn Hill. Her mother resides at Floy Dyer Nursing Home in Houston. She was a 1975 graduate of Aberdeen High School. She was employed with Modern Business Systems and O.M.D. in Jefferson City for several years. She was later employed as a Senior Analyst with Ricoh, formerly IKON Office Solutions, working from her home since 1996 until ill health forced her retirement in 2011. She was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church in Aberdeen. She enjoyed painting, gardening, reading her Bible and books, but most importantly, she loved spending time with her family.
Other survivors include: two sons, Alex Samuel Irvin and Jesse Dale Smith, both of Jefferson City, Mo., and their dads, Victor Irvin of Jefferson City, Mo., and Steve Smith of Aberdeen; two stepsons, Travis Irvin and his fiancée, Amber Lamarch of St. Peters, Mo., and Bryce Irvin of St. Peters, Mo.; one granddaughter, Mackenzie Irvin of St. Peters, Mo.; two sisters, Tiawanna Anderson of Ft. Worth, Texas and her daughters, Kelly Rinehart of Ft. Worth and Stacie Malone of Corinth, and Jeanette Mitchell (Mitch) of Hamilton, and their children, April Miller of Aberdeen and Michael and Brittany Mitchell of Hamilton; one brother, Durwood Howard Hill (T. Kay) of Prairieville, La.; and their children, Nathaniel Howard and Amber Hill.
She was preceded in death by her father; her grandparents, Leona Crosby, Robert Franklin Hill, Colie Agnes Smitherman and Ledrew Roland Ausborn; one niece, Michelle Lee Mitchell; and one nephew-in-law, Kevin Rinehart.
A memorial service was held on Sept. 19 in the Freeman Chapel with Chaplain Bruce Gardner officiating.
A memorial service was held  at 2 p.m. Sept. 23 in the Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home with Brother Robert Earl Fowlkes officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society or Hospice Compassus.

Billy G. Mills Sr.
AMORY – Billy G. Mills Sr., 80, died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012, at his residence. He was born in Alcorn County on Dec. 17, 1931, to Roy G. and Beulah Viola Smith Mills. He was a United States Army veteran who served in the Korean Conflict.
Services with military honors were at 2 p.m. Sept. 20 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues in Tupelo with Bro. Curtis Shelton and Bro. Leon Willis officiating. Burial was in New Home Cemetery in Itawamba County.
Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Janice McAfee Mills of Amory; two children, Phyllis Baldwin of Amory and Billy “Bud” Mills Jr. of Mooreville; two grandchildren; and six siblings, Vernell Hopkins of Mooreville, Jane Hatfield (Arnold) of Booneville, Aubrey Mills of Booneville, Audrey Mills of Corinth, Pat Wallace (Charlie) and Peggy Wilson (Darrel), both of Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his son, Aaron Dwight Mills; his brother, Thomas Mills; and his parents.

Jerry Brasfield
SMITHVILLE – Jerry Lynn Tiny Brasfield , 60, died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center after a short illness. He was born Feb. 2, 1952, to Bascom and Jettie Gregory Brasfield. He lived in Fulton for many years until moving to Smithville three years ago. He was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church. He was in the logging business most of his life as a truck driver for Jason Spigner and Bennett Brothers Logging. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and fishing.
Services were at 11 a.m. Sept. 21 at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Jimmy Sartin and Bro. Ferrell Swords officiating. Burial was in Union Grove Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Eunita Brasfield of Smithville; mother, Jettie Brasfield of Smithville; one daughter, Kristal Ferguson (Rickey) of Tupelo; two sons, Michael Brasfield (Janice) of Smithville and Jimmy Brasfield (Talisha) of Fulton; a sister, Peggy Sanderson of Smithville; a brother, Tommy Brasfield of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; and four grandchildren, Cody Johnson, Sorayla Brasfield, Sadie Brasfield and Stephen Brasfield.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Pallbearers were Lynn Sanderson, Greg Sanderson, Chad Bennett, Jerry Bennett, Gary Bennett and Joseph Chavis.

W.D. Whitfield
HAMILTON – W.D. Whitfield, 72, died Sept. 18, 2012, at Aurora Health and Rehabilitation Southern Care Hospice in Columbus. He enjoyed fishing and farming. He was a member of Sulphur Springs M.B. Church.
Services were at noon Sept. 22 at Sulphur Springs M.B. Church in Hamilton with Pastor Henry Mosely officiating. Burial was in Willis Cemetery in Hamilton. Belle Memorial Funeral Home of Aberdeen was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include five brothers, Bennie G. Whitfield, Arthur James Whitfield, Willie James Whitfield, Wyncle Whitfield, and Marvin Whitfield, all of Hamilton; five sisters, Lola Ezell, Ella Spratt, Thelma Washington, Debra Chaney and Brenda Whitfield, all of Hamilton.

ABERDEEN – George Willie Poe, 70, died Sept. 23, 2012, at Care Center of Aberdeen. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Belle Memorial Funeral Home of Aberdeen.
